Star Wars: The Force Awakens Excitement!

Christmas is around the corner and my my look what we got here. Most might Think it is time for presents and sales all around the world, but look what I am here waiting for, the upcoming blockbuster, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

         Wait, you haven't watched Star Wars before? What?????? I don't think you are worthy to live on this Earth anymore. I am just kidding Xd. Okay, before watching the 7th episode of the series, I highly recommend in watching the 4th, 5th and 6th episode as it is the original trilogy. 

                   What is this all about you say, Star Wars happens in a galaxy far, far away. Yet gives us a            familiar feel ( humans, duh ). There is a rebellion against the evil empire. More than that is just            plain spoilers, I cannot tell more ;). But you can watch the trailer to the upcoming movie. I
           had never watched the movie series before but after watching a few, the trailer seems to
           make sense.

                   Want to watch the old ones? Simply google search "Star Wars: (Insert Episode Name) full movie" , I bet a few nice, albeit illegal ones will pop out. Anyway this is all for now, stay cool and may the force be with you!
         

Movie Review: The Walk

Walking? WHUT RUSEL U MAD? No this is not ordinary walk. Imagine walking on a rope, 410 meters above sea level.

This movie is about a French boy, Philippe Petit, who had a dream to do a wire walk between the two World Trade Center buildings in New York. He was inspired by one guy, Papa Rudy, who real name I have forgotten. Papa Rudy was a high-rope walker as well. He taught Philippe a lot about rope walking, e.g. how to rig a cable, how to balance it and never be arrogant even if the end is just 3 steps away as death might be lurking everywhere when you are on the rope. On his journey, he met some artists and they became his partners in crime in achieving his dream.

Nothing is impossible

As walking on The World Trade Centre is pretty illegal, he had to do something he called "le coup" in order to pass security so that his equipment can get to the top. He made extensive research on the towers. Examining the shift of security guards, distance between two towers, date of completion and so on. He even made several disguises so that he won't get detected.

Then on that day, 7th of August 1974, he did it. An amazing 45 minutes on the rope. With amazing stunts such as lying down on the rope, kneeling and much more. Although a few had walked on the moon, only one will ever walk the void between the twin towers.

Personally I think it is an amazing movie, especially in 3D. It was so immense I sweated at just the height of the stunt, imagine one walking on it. So it is currently still on show as of the release date of this post so I recommend you guys to definitely watch this movie.

Story wise, the movie pretty much stayed to its roots of the real story, there are a few differences but it doesn't really impact the main plot.

Seriously 10/10 no doubt. Better than The Martian ( sorry Watney ) and other movies in 2015.

A short interview with Jeslyn Hong

So I had decided to interview one of my classmates who is the model student of our Junior class 2015 and also a great athlete of our school. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Russell: Hi!

Jeslyn: Hi!

Russell: May you introduce yourself to our readers?

Jeslyn: My name is Jeslyn Hong and I'm from J2R, Sabah Chinese High School.

Russell: So you are the model student of Junior High. What are your feelings on this?

Jeslyn: Well I would like to thank all my friends and teachers who supported me. Never thought that I would become the model student really, it was quite a shock.

Russell: No it shouldn't be, you are very friendly to almost everyone you meet. What are your interests?

Jeslyn: I like to play basketball, piano and race.

Russell: Talking about basketball and racing, could you tell us more about your athletic life?

Jeslyn: I loved playing sports since I was in primary 2 ( Grade 3 ) and I loved to play basketball since then as well. So I practiced basketball with the coach who was provided by the teacher. Before long I was representing the school on basketball competitions and soon I was representing the Tawau zone.
On track and field, I got interested on this when I joined my school's annual sports meet. I performed well so I represented my primary school and my secondary school. Recently I participated the National Independent Chinese High School Track and Field competition in Johor. All these gave me a lot of sweet memories. It was a really awesome ride. So we all need to follow our dreams and never give up.

Russell: Ahh you are also chosen to be a school prefect next year, any thoughts on that?

Jeslyn: Personally I think that being a normal student is better than being a prefect. There are a lot of pressure and difficulties when you are a prefect so I prefer to be a student if possible.

Russell: Alright I wish the best to your sports life as well as your studies. Before this interview ends, what would you like to say to the audience about their hopes and dreams?

Jeslyn: You can do it!

Russell: Ok so thanks for sparing your time for this interview.

Jeslyn: You're welcome. It is my pleasure.

I'm Russell's friend. Even though we only met for only a short few, but our friendship feels like it has lasted a life time. Life is Strange Episode 5 Review Thingy?

Today, let's talk about Life is Strange, an episodic choice-based game made by Dontnod Entertainment.
It's amazing how fast time passes, I can still clearly remember the first episode.

This post will contain spoilers for the game so you should go watch someone's walkthrough or play it yourself before reading this post.

Life is Strange Episode 5 is a really dark episode compared to the previous episodes,why?
Mainly because it shows the choices Maxine Caulfield have made. If you have played or watched all the episodes, you will know that Maxine Caulfield is a human with superpowers, she can rewind time and change her or anyone's destiny. Basically, she has a power that can kill one or save one.

Anyways, Episode 5.
As you know from the previous episodes, Max has changed a lot of fate.
But mainly Chloe's
Since the first episode, Max and Chloe kind of developed a bond and since then Max has rewinded time just to save Chloe again and again.

In the end, you still can't change someone's fate.

Max was in a nightmare where all the friends she helped is mad at her, probably because of how she changed everyone's fate. Why would everyone be mad at her though, shouldn't they be thankful? Nope.
For using her rewinding skills, mother nature used her largest possible weapon to wipe Arcadia Bay clean and yes, it's the ocean.
Max using her rewinding powers supposedly caused a thunderstorm that can end everybody's life.

And that's where the hardest choice comes in;...

You are forced to choose to sacrifice Chloe or Arcadia.. Bay.

Man, I was so happy because I thought there will be a nice ending, but man is this dark.
But nevertheless it's still a great game. 
I am a sucker for these episodic choice-based game, that's why I love Telltale games.

ALL I'M SAYING IS, LIFE IS STRANGE IS THE FIRST VIDEO GAME TO MAKE ME SO SAD INSIDE THAT TEARS ARE GONNA COME OUT OF MY EYE.

What do SUPERHEROEs do? They save the people, places or whatever that's in danger. In that case, I have a mission for you, to save not one life, not two lives, but the planet that consists of 7 billion lives of humans alone. Here are your three objectives!

Mission: Environmental Protection

Hostages: All Living Beings

Trash can

Villains: Humans

1. USE TRASH CANS!

   To store rubbish, humans invented trash cans. We have trash cans all over the place, so why can't you respect this invention by using it for the purpose it was originally invented for instead of abusing the intelligence of your own species?

2. 

   Switch

   USE SWITCHES!

   It's the same story...To save as much energy as possible, humans invented switches to turn on electronics when in use, and to turn them off when they are not in use. It's just that simple!

3. IMAGINATION, INNOVATION, RECREATION!

   Don't throw away used things once they are used, use your imagination and creativity, plus your innovative powers, to create something useful out of your "waste". You'll be saving a lot of things from being thrown away and treated as waste!
   

Be a wise human, be a SUPERHERO. Do what's good for our Mother Earth, and save her, as your name will go down in history as a SUPERHERO that rescued Earth!

Ahh so it does work! Thought ships are just things that you can fly but ohh this ship does much more. This ship has a rover for exploration and heck even a mini fighter for defensive purposes.

Anyway, we decided to go to one place where information is key, The Tayak System, all known jump points and systems are found there. Better buff up our knowledge before we go out into the unknown. Just as we start our drives to the jump point to Tayak, Russell said :" If there is any booty, its mine." Obviously we air locked him so we can drive in peace just kidding we cannot possibly kill our own pilot right? As I see the sun drifting away from us, space suddenly feels so lonely. It is so vast, so many things that could go wrong. How could we do this? I mean we are just 5 stupid people with no experience in exploration whatsoever. Well, I guess, we never know until we tried.

Quuuick uppdate

Wassup people! Just a quick update on what's going on right now.

Tawau had a really bad haze on the last two days and unfortunately, it struck on a school day. So school was cancelled. RASSELL I THOT NO SKUL IS GUD??! Well, it happened on an exam day, which means the pressure holds on for another day and that means, NO FREEDOM FOR ANOTHER DAY!

With the haze still not trying to let go, we can't really do any outdoor activities and we all need to stay at school, it was fun and all at home but I really need to have some exercise or I might be fat pretty soon. So its either being fat or risking suffocating yourself to death, guess which route I took.....

But I do need to thank the haze for letting me study for one more day though. So on that day I went to Carlson's house ( Alvin too ) to study. TBH we didn't really read a lot, most because we just chatted till we wanted to study and by then it was already late.
